K11 Art Mall is a retail interior design in Wuhan, China. The project converts a twenty-year-old department store into an art mall of four podium levels and a total area of 34,000 square meters. Verticality guides the retail planning, and vertical landmarks together with floor-specific landmarks encourage visitors to move upward and explore. An external bridge links the mall to an adjacent mall. A steel structure adds new layers inside the existing concrete building, while fiberglass reinforced gypsum and laminated glass shape the colorful spaces.
