Al Majlis is a traditional Saudi restaurant located inside a mall in Riyadh. The interior covers 1,570 square meters and recalls the urban character of Saudi architecture of the sixties. Shifting modules form dynamic alleyways and a varied composition of masses. Guests sit and eat on the ground in groups, and each group is given a closed or semi enclosed room for privacy. Finishes include stucco, matt walnut wood, perforated screens and mashrabiya, combining modern and cultural elements that reflect Saudi heritage.
